Frequently Asked Questions

I want to write a letter to the Duchess of Cambridge, where do I send it?

Office of The Duchess of Cambridge
Clarence House
London SW1A 1BA

I Love your site! Who designed it?

The site runs off of Genesis by StudioPress. The theme that you see is a custom theme for the framework designed by Little Black Dress Web Designs. The Logo that you see at the top of the site was designed by Melanie Oates of Melogo Designs

Why don’t you cover some stories about Will and Kate?

If you don’t see a story covered here, the reason is probably this…I value my own privacy and I think that that same courtesy should be extended to William and Catherine. I generally base my decision about which stories to cover on what I call “the cringe factor”, if I would not want the pictures out there if they were of me, then I won’t use them and I won’t report on the story they are associated with.

Why is it that you never include shoe options in your Petite Versions of the Duchess’ Fashions?

The answer on this is actually very simple. I wear between a US size 3 and 4 which is a UK 3 for most if not all of my shoes and so there are not many that fit me as a result I do not feel confident weighing in on footwear choices for other people.

Site Policies

Photo Policy:: Because of the nature of this site I must use photographs, artist renderings, sketches and other graphics on the site on a regular basis.  Because of the public figures that are the overall subject of this site, the use of photographs can sometimes be rather tricky.  Here is the policy that I seem to be enforcing at this point, it is also the policy that I see myself enforcing for the foreseeable future.  I will go ahead and say it now and be upfront about this:  I do reserve the right to and will in fact alter this policy as future events or requests from appropriate parties warrant.

  • If the photo has been officially released by any authorized party, it will be used as appropriate on this site.
  • If the photo was taken at an official or public event it will be used on this site.
  • If any current/future contributor/editor to this site takes the photo in a manner consistent with known guidelines, it WILL be used.
  • If the photo in question was taken in a manner that is in violation of policies known to have been put in place by an authorized party, it WILL NOT be used on this site.
  • If the photo could bring undue embarrassment to any subject of the photo, it WILL NOT be used
  • If I have learned of a request from authorized parties that a certain photo or series of photos not be used, it/they WILL NOT be used.

Media Policy: I am always flattered by interest in A Petite Princess and welcome opportunities to share the story of how petite and/or less mobile women can dress like Her Royal Highness. If you are interested in learning more about A Petite Princess, our fundraising efforts, or Kate’s charitable activities, just get in touch via the email address media@apetiteprincess.com . Interviews are easiest for me if done via email or phone at this time. My preference is for e-mail interviews. Questions submitted will be answered and returned within 48 hours and usually faster. If you absolutely require a quote or interview within the next 12 hours for a publication deadline e-mail the above address and put your deadline in Eastern Time in the Subject area of the e-mail.  If you include a number, I will be in touch as soon as possible in the most appropriate manner.

Review Policy: I am happy to review royal-related books, movies, music, and other royal-related products when I feel they are a good fit for my readers and time allows.  Here are the basic guidelines to keep in mind when asking me to do a review:

  • If the review in question is of a book, I’ll need you to provide a copy unless I already own it and it is just in the pile of books that are waiting for me to read them.
  • If an audiobook is available this is my preferred method.
  • I’ll need the book AT LEAST 3 weeks before you want the review to be made public
  • If the item being reviewed is a Movie, I’ll need either a copy that can be played from iTunes (US Account) or a DVD that is in a US friendly format.
  • I’ll need the movie AT LEAST 2 weeks before you want the review to be made public
  • If the item being reviewed is a CD, I’ll need either a copy that can be played from iTunes (US Account) or a CD that is in a US friendly format.
  • I’ll need the music AT LEAST 2 weeks before you want the review to be made public
  • For Product Reviews, I have to be able to physically inspect the item to write a review…contact me to arrange for shipping the item
  • For Product reviews, the needed lead time will vary so contact me so we can get that sorted so that you get your review in a timely manner.

All reviews will be my 100% honest opinion, though I will make every effort to be fair if there are questions that arise that may benefit from further information from you .
