This poem by Shel Silverstein has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember.
Growing up with a disability is a challenge no matter how you cut or the amount of support you have. This poem was just a reminder that I could do ANYTHING if I really wanted to. It holds only the promise of possibility. Not the promise of success, no promise of an easy path. But IF I WANT IT…..IF I WORK FOR IT….
