Over the past couple of days I have been quiet here but behind the scenes here at A Petite Princess a lot has been happening since the announcement by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge that they are expecting their first child. With the news of Catherine’s condition the joy of the announcement we have all been waiting for has been tempered with appropriate concern for both Mother and Baby since the pregnancy was announced shy of the 12 week mark that most doctors and women consider it safe to start telling people about the pregnancy.
but here are my wishes for Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and a little peek at what they have to look forward to with the help of my own Niece.
You’ll have a Grandpa (and probably and Uncle) wrapped around your finger
Grandpapa Charles might be good for a Cuddle and I am sure that Uncle Harry will be up to the task.
According to most Mum’s I know, this is the BEST THING EVER
A Quiet nap with Daddy, in a bedroom at Gran’s is just about a perfect thing
Special quiet snuggles with Mummy after the excitement of a long and adventurous day, or even better, naps on a Saturday Afternoon with DADDY.
Some Nights you may not sleep, That’s okay too!
Will all of these cuddles, snuggles, and naps there may be nights that you don’t want to sleep, and, well, that’s okay too!
Who is that beautiful baby?
Who knew a hand was so fascinating and yummy!
There will be days and weeks that are filled with self discovery and AMAZEMENT!
Grandma!!!
There will be some special phrase that your Gran or Great Gran says that will make you, and just you, laugh every time!

There will be special outings with Mummy, and moments where you and Daddy and will be the story and steal the show…

I wish for you…to feel safe and playful when there crowds to wave and smile at, but you can be shy if you want that’s probably going to be even cuter to be honest

Food Time will be so fun!
I wish to hear… that you have more than just Mummy and Daddy laughing as you learn which foods are your favorites…there will probably be a Royal Chef or two rolling with laughter at your antics and adventures
I wish for you the most… fun days in the country with Mum, Dad, Lupo, and Mummy’s Family that will be memories that you can hold in your heart forever
