I used the audiobook for this one. Prince Charles read the whole thing to me. I have to say his voice can be quite soothing , I may have drifted off a few times. Don’t worry I always rewound the recording to the end of the last section I remembered hearing and picked it up from there..
This book is all about Charles’ passion for sustainability and doing things in ways that work in harmony with nature, I expected that, but what I did not expect was for this book to really give me a better understanding of Prince Charles the man.
We’ve all heard quotes out of Charles in the past that just seem a bit odd, out of place, or like he is buried in some complex philosophical discussion…anyone remember the comment on being in love at his engagement interview? Turns out after reading this book I can see that what we saw in that interview and still see at various times is simply and purely who he is. He can’t turn that super-philosophical part of his brain off and just answer questions like most folks that you and I know.
The book has tons of information that might be a bit of a slog to get through, but having His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales read it to me made it doable and sort of fun.
